However, there is a caveat, namely that the dispensaries will not open until 2024. Until then, adults older than 21 can possess up to an ounce of cannabis and can grow up to four plants. Commercial transactions are forbidden.
The current weed legalization efforts in Virgina are well on the right track, but are still half baked. While you are allowed to grow and possess weed, there is no legal way to buy it until 2024, which means many will still need to rely on dealers.
