Cannabis laws in Turkey
Cannabis use remains very low in Turkey with only 0.4% of adults having smoked in the last year. This is partly cultural but also in part due to the draconian laws. For the possession of any drug, including cannabis, you can be sent to 1-2 years of prison. For small amounts, however, you are likely only to receive a probation or treatment. You will, in any case, need to go before a court, however. Selling and growing marijuana can get you in a lot of trouble and even prison for 5-10 years.
Marijuana is still very taboo in Turkey and the police does not treat it as lightly as it does in Europe. Extreme caution is advised if you do manage to find weed while in Dalaman.
Finding weed in Dalaman.
Even though it is not common there are some locals who smoke regularly. However, you will need to ask around in order to find out who does smoke. You will not find any street dealers in Dalaman. Instead, if your trip allows it to try to get some weed in Istanbul, where it is much easier to score. Overall Dalaman is not the best tourist destination for stoners and other Turkish resorts that are bigger and more popular will be much easier to score weed at.
